CuFe2O4 spinel nanostructured were elaborated by mechanical alloying technique from Cu, Cu2O and Fe2O3 under controlled atmosphere with different milling times at room temperature. The crystalline has a body-centred tetragonal structure low temperatures lattice parameters ? 0.582 nm c 0.869 face-centred cubic high parameter 0.842 nm. average crystallite size strain determined X-ray diffraction for are 22.12 ± 5.47 0.781 0.082 %, respectively. FTIR-ATR spectra of the samples shows that vibration around 400–1000 cm?1 corresponds to absorbed octahedral tetrahedral sites. process results in agglomerated clusters, which radically change their shape during time. Differential scanning calorimetry analysis two additional endothermic peaks 715–781 °C 863–957 °C, first peak might be affected formation Cu-Fe-O second may correspond transformation structure. milled until 20 h ferromagnetic temperature saturation magnetization increasing 29.8 59.6 emu/g coercivity decreases 254 Oe up 230 when time increases 0 20h.
